The Fix Is In, Not Really by Bob Koppel

What happened last night in Las Vegas didn't stay there. Once again, Donald Trump demonstrated what an exceptionally malevolent and narcissistic ignoramus he is, doubling down on his Breitbart-inspired campaign of incendiary combative politics, unwilling to clearly state he'd accept the results of the election, working to the finish line to make people lose faith in our democracy. The author's latest piece, written before the debate.

The fix is in: voter fraud so widespread, raves Donald Trump, even Saturday Night Live is guilty of electoral corruption.

The thin-skinned showman––whose attention-grabbing, orangutan hair resembles the gilded signs atop his ugly buildings––is in the final act of debasing our presidential election. Baying menacingly to violence-ready crowds, he is a wounded creature, a "victim," howling over being "cheated" out of the presidency.

On October 17th Trump tweeted, "Of course there is large scale voter fraud happening on and before election day. Why do Republican leaders deny what is going on? So naive!"

This conspiratorial death rattle, perhaps a personal transmission to Donald from Mars, is at odds with Loyola Law School of Los Angeles's 2014 comprehensive investigation of serious voter irregularities, which found only 31 credible incidents out of a billion cast ballots.

"Unshackled." the reality TV entertainer's campaign of self-magnification without the slightest trace of self-reflection persists, hyping a unique brand of fear manipulation and dysphoria.

Bragging wantonly about his sexual predatory behavior, he asked voters to believe that when he said, "I'm automatically attracted to beautiful [women]—I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab them by the pussy," he was just kidding.

Same as after days of relentless accusations that President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton were responsible for creating ISIS, he matter-of-factly explained that he was "just being sarcastic."

In his mind, any other response to his denial of sexual assault by the nine women who came forward to tell their stories was, "totally and absolutely false, and the Clinton's know it...All fabricated, pure fiction and outright lies, preposterous, ludicrous, and defy, truth common sense, and logic."

What is clear is that the Republican nominee says something false every time he speaks, and with every toxic tweet concedes a stronger and more humiliating defeat on the eighth of November. And with Roger Ailes, Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Kellyanne Conway, David Bossie, and the Trump family––a mob family–– supplying the candidate with schemes and talking points, how could it be otherwise?

Mr. Trump's last-ditch flame throw, abandoning the slightest modicum of human decency, seeks to argue that his eventual loss will be the result of a rigged system. How ironic coming from the grifter who has led a personal and professional life based on rigs, lies, cutting corners, short cuts, bullying, bombast, and bluster.

He pays no Federal income tax. He declared bankruptcy six times. He short-changes his contractors. He rips off employees. He abuses women, children (he delighted in catching Miss Teen America contestants in their dressing rooms) the disabled, all who he considers weak and vulnerable. His real skill is getting away with what ordinary citizens consider their duty and responsibility!

The Huffington Post had it right when it started to append an editor's note to the bottom of every story published since late January 2016:

"Note to our readers: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, birther, and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims––1.6 billion members of an entire religion––from entering the US."

Add to this, his "invitation" for false accusations of sexual assault to be leveled against President Obama, demanding Mrs. Clinton take a drug test, accusing her of orchestrating the fire bombing of a Republican headquarters by "animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina," and repeated public pronouncements based on the depraved conspiracy theories of Alex Jones. Mr. Jones claims Hillary is a demon, smelling of sulphur, about to destroy America and western civilization.

Don't shake your head! Vote!

This election needs to be dispositive, incontestable, indisputable, hands-down, conclusive.

Let's send this puny, hectoring fool back to Mar-a-Lago for good, behind a wall––– which he can build, and can pay for!
