The Arizona and Nevada Senate races are still up in the air but are now trending Democrat. This would set up Warnock/Georgia as a 51st Senate seat. That would allow Democrats to pit Manchin and Sinema against each other, only needing one or the other each time. Better than 50.

DeSantis is not in nearly as deep of a hole as Trump was. But then Trump's numbers always made clear that he never had more than a 10% chance of reelection. DeSantis has perhaps a 30% chance. You can quibble over the specific number, but the odds are clearly against DeSantis.
