Two days ago, Trump praised Putin (again), calling him “savvy” and a “genius.” Putin’s economy is now in complete free fall. He’s cemented his place as one of the worst murderous tyrants of the 21st century. And he’s united the West, while making Zelensky a hero. “Savvy” indeed.

I just don't know what to say any longer. Trump implied that the coronavirus, which has killed 210,000 Americans, made him feel younger. What can you possibly say to that? It's just about the most callous, dangerous statement imaginable. It's just madness. And it's infuriating.

I've been an election observer in broken authoritarian countries, and let me tell you: Trump's behavior would be swiftly and unequivocally condemned by all international election monitors if it was happening elsewhere. He is behaving like the despots past presidents condemned.

The coronavirus is Trump’s Chernobyl—a growing catastrophe in which the government response is deadly because Trump is more worried about protecting the myths that define his alternative reality than protecting vulnerable people who will die. My column: https://t.co/G0InGAtJ7j

Dear @tedcruz: when Biden pushed to fire Ukraine's corrupt prosecutor, Shokin, he was backed not just by the IMF, EU, and key allies, but also by *Republicans.* Senate Republicans signed a letter supporting it. Your GOP caucus supported what you’re now attacking him for doing. https://t.co/cR5ET9cWFt

This is just the stupidest, most vapid argument imaginable—and if you believe it, I’m sorry to say that you are an idiot. It’s like saying “you have to release the criminal until we get to the bottom of who called 911!” The crime matters, not the person who alerted us to it. https://t.co/2CKWNXQ7AW

There is literally zero evidence that Joe Biden did anything improper in Ukraine. Trump’s campaign manager, on the other hand, was an unregistered foreign agent who was illegally paid millions of dollars off the books by pro-Russian oligarchs in Ukraine. He is in prison. https://t.co/xnFQa4Dl42

Calling Mueller’s team “some of the worst human beings on Earth,” while saying he’s in love with Kim Jong-un, a dictator who murders people for sport, tosses thousands in gulags, and executes dissidents with anti-aircraft guns, tells you what you need to know about Trump. https://t.co/jHi98fbkcO
