The headline in the New York Times and elsewhere in media was about how aTrump Loyalist won the Maryland’s G.O.P. Primary for Governor. But I saw a different, more positive result in the Maryland Primaries for Governor.
373,590 voted in the Democratic primary. Only 235,532 turned out for the so-called hot Republican race, despite calls from Trump and the present Governor.
The Democratic candidate Wes Moore can win this.
In a crowded field of Democratic candidates, Wes Moore has racked up a string of key endorsements (including U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Oprah Winfrey), leads in fundraising…
The candidate, a third-generation Marylander born in Takoma Park, Maryland, who wrote a 2010 autobiography, “The Other Wes Moore,” is the former CEO of the poverty-fighting organization, The Robin Hood Foundation. (Source.WTOP News).
Did I mention he is a Johns Hopkins graduate, a Rhodes scholar and an army combat veteran who reached the rank of Captain?
Who is Dan Cox, Trump’s candidate in Maryland? “As rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, he called Vice President Mike Pence “a traitor” in a tweet he then deleted — later expressing regret for his choice of words.” (Source. Washington Post).
Trump’s boy, for sure.
Just keep turning out the voters, dear Democrats in Maryland and elsewhere. #Blue2022
