The Women's March - a shot heard around the world.

Voices4Hillary was in DC Friday and Saturday. Friday was The National Day of Mourning, and a grim day. We protested as the Inauguration was occurring. The day was grey and as the man who claims the White House started to speak, the rain began. According to the National Park Service and the Washington Post, there were twice as many protesters (500,000) to the inaugural attendees (250,000).

Saturday was a much more positive day, as hundreds of thousands of women and men arrived into the nation's capital. The weather remained clear. While the organizers said that this march wasn't organized to oppose Trump but the attendees made clear why they were there by the signage which they carried, denouncing Trump, expressing gratitude and love for Hillary Clinton, and speaking loudly for women's rights, immigrants rights, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, economic justice, transgender rights, 1st Amendment rights, peace.

Gloria Steinem was one of the key speakers at the Women's March.

Here is her amazing speech.

Here is a sample of what the March looked like.

These familiar pictures of the empty inauguration have been published near and far. Here is MSNBC's photos comparing Trump's inauguration to the Women's March itself.
