My apologia for a miss in my previous article.

In my op-ed, "A SUPERLATIVE CANDIDATE & HIS FRIENDS," I wrote that not only does Trump speak in hyperbole, but those around him do as well.

One of the examples I gave was the statement by Trump's personal physician, Dr. Harold N. Bornstein that "if elected, he 'will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.'"

I neglected to follow my grade school teachers' warning to use only source materials. Had I done so (rather than using a quotation from the New York Times), I would have seen that Dr. Bornstein's letter included the following shocking revelation: "Mr. Trump has had a recent complete medical examination that showed only positive results."

I would have known that the letter was bogus for, indeed, it is impossible to test positive for everything even if you are the sickest person on the planet. See, if you write enough about Trump you, too, will start to speak in superlatives.

Here is the full, phony letter, from the "To Whom My [sic] Concern" to the "Section [rather than Department] of Gastroenterology."

That said, I do regret my error which may or may not have been the worst error ever made.

I do want to thank Dr. Jennifer Gunter for her extensive dissections proving the letter is make believe, like other make- believes about this candidate.

Let us count the ways--Make believethat he is a good business man, make believe that he is philanthropic, make believe that he will release his tax returns ever, make believe that he is fit to be President....and so on.

I digress.

In closing , I do want to comment on other speculations and rumors that are now flying about. Number one, I know, for a fact, that John Baron may or may not have written the letter. Number two, I did not.

I appreciate your kind forgiveness and indulgence. I will not make the same mistake again.
